This coalition is working tirelessly to improve the business corridor in northwest Des Moines from Merle Hay Road to the Des Moines River.


DAC is working to develop partnerships with businesses, neighbors, and non-profits with an interest in Douglas Avenue.


DAC advocates aesthetic and infrastructure improvements which will make Douglas Avenue a better, safer place to live, work, and play.


DAC pursues creative incentives to encourage businesses to locate and expand along Douglas Avenue.

We’re on the Agenda!

The next Des Moines City Council Meeting, to be held this Monday, September 11th, includes the approval of a planning and design firm to be hired for the Douglas Avenue Corridor Plan. City council, let’s get this approved and get this project moving forward!
