The meeting was well-attended by regulars as well as newcomers.

During the course of the meeting, Polk County supervisor Angela Connolly surprised the group by presenting a Polk County community development grant in the amount of $25,000 to sponsor a comprehensive corridor plan through the city of Des Moines.
