The Douglas Avenue Coalition met Tuesday, August 23, to share the group’s vision and strategy, and to provide an update of progress made over the last year. The meeting was well-attended by regulars as well as newcomers.

During the course of the meeting, Polk County supervisor Angela Connolly surprised the group by presenting a Polk County community development grant in the amount of $25,000 to sponsor a comprehensive corridor plan through the city of Des Moines.
