April Update – Next Open House to be Announced

We had originally planned to have the next public open house in April to unveil the Douglas Avenue Corridor plan. That timeline has been delayed for a couple reasons. For one, we are awaiting additional traffic modeling to help with the decisions being made along Douglas Avenue. And second, discussions with the Iowa DOT about Douglas Avenue, since it is a state highway, and what changes can and can’t be made along this highway are still underway. Meanwhile, the City and our design firm, RDG, continue to have ongoing conversations with property owners to help inform the plan.  We are eager for these final pieces to fall into place and, once they do, we will get the public open house on the calendar. We look forward to seeing you all then!
